Partners Michelle Blessing and Eddie Hurt are both Colorado natives and grew up in the Colorado Springs area. With a combined 35 years of experience, they have extensive knowledge related to the Colorado Springs real estate market. They became partners and joined forces in 2017 becoming Blessing | Hurt and immediately became the top producing team for ERA in all of Colorado and in the top 15 nationally. As top producing Broker Associates, they have spent their entire careers at ERA Shields, which was founded in 1980 and is one of the most respected real estate companies in the Pikes Peak region.
They are dedicated to providing the highest level of service while assisting clients with the buying and selling of their homes. As professional Realtors, they will walk you through every step of the process, keep in constant communication throughout the entire transaction, provide thoughtful counsel, and be there for you at closing and beyond.
Prior to working as a real estate consultant, Michelle competed as a professional triathlete, runner, and cyclist. Some of her accomplishments include: running three Ironman triathlons, cycling for Team Saturn, and winning the Empire State Building Run-Up in New York City.
By 1998, she transitioned into coaching and was selected as the Olympic Triathlon Coach for the men’s and women’s teams for the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney. She was also honored as the USOC Triathlon Coach of the year in 2001 and 2002.
Michelle sits on many community boards and enjoys virtually all sports and spending time in the awesome Colorado outdoors with her friends and family – especially her young grandchildren!
Eddie has been licensed since 1998, is a Certified Negotiation Expert, and is a former Managing Partner and Broker for ERA Shields Real Estate. His knowledge of the area is second to none having grown-up in the area and practicing real estate for the past 20 years.
Community Service has always been important to Eddie. He has served on numerous non-profit boards, he is the current varsity soccer coach at Coronado High School, and is President of the Mountain Shadows Community Association.
Eddie is married with two teenage sons and lives on the west side of town. He loves the lifestyle Colorado Springs offers, including mountain biking, hiking, skiing and just getting outside.
